Who We Are

DISCIPLINE, BROTHERHOOD,
AND THE LAHURE LEGACY.

For generations, the Gurkha name has stood for courage and loyalty. We exist to carry that tradition forward — by preparing the next generation to stand at the gates of selection, and to walk through them.

Young Gurkhas Club is a dedicated School of Pre-British Gurkha Army based at Samakhusi, Tokha Road, Kathmandu. Established in 2070 BS, our mission is simple — to take the dreams of young Nepali aspirants and turn them into the disciplined reality of selection day.

We prepare candidates for two of the most respected pathways open to Nepali youth: the Brigade of Gurkhas (British Army) and the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force (GCSPF). Every aspect of selection — the 800m and 2.4km runs, the heaves and jerry can carry, the doko race, English and Mathematics, the interview — is built into our daily training programme.

What sets YGC apart is the brotherhood. Trainees who walk through our gates leave not just fitter and better prepared, but part of a network of Gurkha aspirants and serving soldiers that supports them long after their selection day. सपना देख्ने होइन, पूरा गर्ने हो — this is more than a slogan. It is how every day begins at YGC.
